Traffic Incident at South Gessner at the Southwest Freeway

September 30, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal accident at South Gessner at the Southwest Freeway service road on September 30, 2006 about 4:45 a.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant J.A. Calley and Officer S. Martinez reported:

A gold Cadillac was travelling inbound on the Southwest Freeway service road at South Gessner, when it failed to maintain a single lane of traffic. The Cadillac struck a gold Chevrolet Suburban which was stopped northbound on Gessner. The back passenger of the Chevrolet Suburban was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Suburban were treated at the scene for injuries and the driver of the Cadillac was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital.
