Incident at 6100 Dashwood

August 23, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in the 6100 block of Dashwood about 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 22).

The identity of the victim, a 17 to 22 year-old male, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L.A. Flores and Officer B.D. Evans reported:

HPD officers responding to a shooting call discovered the body of the victim lying on the north side of the block. According to witnesses, while walking on Dashwood, the victim was approached by a dark vehicle and shot by the front seat passenger of that vehicle. The suspects then fled in that vehicle.

The suspects are only described as three Hispanic males in their early 20s. They were dressed in white or blue short-sleeved T-shirts and were in a dark colored, four-door vehicle with tinted windows.
