Update on Incident at 3615 Briley August 30, 2007 - A suspect has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a woman at 3615 Briley about 4 a.m. on July 30. The suspect, Noel Travis Dean (b/m, DOB 11-24-83), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his wife, Shannon Dean, 23. Mrs. Dean suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.J. Brooks and Officer M.F. Waters reported: Mrs. Dean was found in her residence, which she shared with her husband. Dean’s husband was home at the time of the incident. Homicide investigators were awaiting results of an autopsy to determine whether foul play was involved. Autopsy results ruled the death a homicide and Noel Dean was arrested on Wednesday (Aug. 29) without incident.
