The female victim, a passenger, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with severe head injuries, where she later died. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. The female driver sustained minor injuries.
HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer D. Gutierrez reported:
The two female victims were riding on a four wheeler in the 10400 block of Aldis as they approached Mango. A witness, driving on Mango, reported seeing them and did not believe the driver of the four wheeler was going to stop at the stop sign on Aldis. When the female driver saw the witness’ vehicle, she applied the brakes on the four wheeler causing it to flip. The driver and her passenger were trapped underneath the four wheeler until the witness pulled the vehicle off of them and called for emergency personnel.
There are no charges filed at this time and the investigation is continuing.
