Update On Incident at 5100 Browncroft

December 4, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in what is now the fatal stabbing of a man at 5100 Browncroft about 11:55 p.m. on November 13.

The victim, Patrick Gims, 42, of 1221 Redford, suffered multiple stab wounds to the head and upper body. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition, but died of his injuries on Sunday (Dec. 2).

Murder charges have now been filed against the suspect, Curtis Green Jr. (b/m, DOB: 12-14-69). The charge was filed in the 177th State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros and Officer J. Robles reported:

Officers responded to a stabbing call and observed Green lying on top of Mr. Gims, who had been stabbed as many as 15 to 20 times. Green was detained at the scene and Gims was transported to the hospital.
