Traffic Incident at 6000 Parker Road
December 17, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 6000 block of Parker Road about 5:10 p. m. on Sunday (December 16).
The male victim, 84, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.
HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant S.A. Perez and Officer R. Kessler reported:
The driver of a maroon Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck was traveling east on Parker Road when for unknown reasons he lost control of the truck, crossed the center line as he approached the bridge and went into Halls Bayou, 40 feet below. The pickup truck was found, partially submerged, by a citizen walking along the bayou. The HPD Dive Team and HFD personnel recovered the victim’s body.
The investigation is continuing.
