Incident at 10600 Bentley December 22, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10600 Bentley between 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 21). The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. He suffered a gunshot wound to the back and died at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and Officer A. Mares reported: The victim was found deceased in the driver's seat of a pickup truck with his foot on the brakes. The truck sustained multiple bullet strikes, one of which apparently struck the victim. One witness reported seeing the victim unconscious in the truck about 7:40 p.m., however, another witness reported seeing the truck as early as 3:00 p.m. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
