Traffic Incident at Pinemont and Arbor Vitae Drive

January 28, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the intersection of Pinemont at Arbor Vitae Drive about 6:35 p.m. on Saturday (January 27).

The female victim died at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant P. Casares and Officer O. Lewis reported:

A white Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on Pinemont when it struck a gray Toyota Camry at the intersection of Arbor Vitae Drive. The front seat passenger in the Toyota died at the scene while the driver and a second passenger, a juvenile, were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the Ford was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time it is unknown which direction the Toyota was traveling since there were no witnesses.

The investigation is continuing.
