Update on Incident at 1100 West 19th

January 30, 2007 -- Houston police have learned the identity of a man fatally stabbed at 1100 West 19th Street about 7:05 p.m. on Saturday (January 27), and are seeking to speak with a possible suspect in the case.

The victim, Maurice Curtis Anderson, 57, of 828 West 17th Street, suffered a stab wound to the chest and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died.

Homicide investigators want to question a person of interest, Ronnie Ray Dimmer (b/m, DOB 7-21-63).

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officers K. Rivera and S. Straughter reported:

The victim entered the business at 1126 West 19th Street and told the store clerk he had been stabbed. He collapsed and was taken to the hospital by HFD.
