The suspect is described as a dark-complected black male with a street name of Jamal or Mall. He is 17 to 19 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 to 150 pounds. It is believed he hangs out in the area of 4100 Barberry.

Two other suspects are in custody. A juvenile suspect was referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department on capital murder charges. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M.W. McStravick, C.W. Howard and Officer T.A. Andrade reported:

HPD homicide investigators received information that led to the arrest of Lang as a participant in the murder of Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson, a wrecker driver, parked his truck at a restaurant and went inside to order food. After receiving his order, Johnson returned to his truck and sat down to eat his meal. The suspects approached Johnson, shot him and fled. Robbery was the apparent motive.
