Incident at 9401 Harwin
July 15, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9401 Harwin about 9:50 p.m. on Saturday (July 14).
The victim is identified as Mohammad Awlad Khan, 37, of 6500 Sandspoint #610. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and Officer L.K. Lovelace reported:
Two Hispanic male suspects, each armed with a pistol, entered the Speedy Mart convenience store at 9401 Harwin. Once inside, one suspect forced an employee to the floor while the other suspect went behind the counter with the cashier. That suspect demanded money, took the bills tray from the cash register and then shot the cashier several times. Both suspects, described only as being 20 to 25 years of age, then fled on foot.
