Incident at 4700 Wenda July 18, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4700 Wenda about 2:20 p.m. on Monday (July 16). The victim, Torrick Lionel Betties, 21, of 4700 Wenda, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Scott and G. Gonzalez and Officer R. Moreno reported: Officers responded to a shooting call at the Cullen Park Apartments and discovered Mr. Betties dead from a gunshot wound. Further investigation determined that Betties was standing in an apartment breezeway with several people, including a male named Terrell Kuykendahl. Witnesses allege Kuykendahl shot Betties once and then fled the scene. Terrell Kuykendahl is wanted for questioning and considered only as a person of interest in this case at this time.
