Incident At 5900 Golf Course Drive July 24, 2007 - The suspect, Blemy Pierre (b/m, DOB: 4/4/64), is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with bodily injury against a public servant in the 185th State District Court. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officer S.J. Anderson reported: Suspect Pierre robbed three victims at gunpoint. HPD Officer E. Browhow, a 10-year veteran assigned to the Special Operations Division, responded to the incidents. Suspect Pierre assaulted and attempted to disarm Officer Browhow. A struggle ensued and the officer discharged his weapon one time, striking Pierre. Suspect Pierre was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officer Browhow sustained minor injuries. As is customary in all officer-involved shootings in the city limits, this case is being investigated by the HPD Homicide and Internal Affairs Divisions and the Harris County District Attorney’s office.
