Incident at 5638 Selinsky

March 8, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5638 Selinsky about 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday (March 7).

The victim, Teno Tavares Baltrip, 26, of 10010 Cullen #424, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Torres and K. Rivera reported:

HPD officers responded to a shooting call at the Crestmont Village Apartments at 5638 Selinsky and found Mr. Baltrip deceased in his car. Witnesses reported seeing a black male running away from Baltrip’s car.

The suspect is described only as a black male.

The motive is unknown at this time, however, it is believed to be a drug-related robbery since marijuana was found scattered on the ground around the scene.
