Incident at 1318 Rosalie

March 25, 2007 -- Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in connection with the death of a man found at 1318 Rosalie about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday (Mar.24).

The suspect, Steven Mark Weinstein (w/m, DOB 1/4/65), is currently charged with tampering with evidence in the 339th State District Court. He is accused of tampering with evidence surrounding the death of an unknown male victim found at Weinstein's residence. The victim's identity and his cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Officer H. Chavez reported:

HPD officers responding to a call regarding a foul odor entered the residence at 1318 Rosalie and discovered the decomposing body of what appears to be an adult male. The body was found in the trunk of a vehicle located in the garage of the residence.

The investigation is continuing.
