Update on Incident at 6262 Underhill

November 1 , 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6262 Underhill about 11:50 p.m. on August 14, 2007

The suspect, Ronald Sterling (b/m, DOB 10/4/85), has been charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. He was arrested on Tuesday (October 30) without incident.

The victim, Moses Dewayne Thomas, 24, of 6262 Underhill #1703, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers E.R. Carstens and B.D. Evans reported:

Mr. Thomas walked outside his apartment to talk to an unknown black male and a few minutes later a gunshot was heard. The same black male was seen running away from the scene after the shooting. Investigators developed information, which led to Sterling's arrest.
