Incident at 6000 Sunforest November 17, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 6000 Sunforest about 6:05 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 16). The deceased victim, Marshall Taylor, 19, of 9627 Crookedwood suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Joshua Covarrubias, 17, of an unknown address suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Sosa and P. Munoz reported: The complainants and witnesses arrived at an apartment to retrieve clothing. After exiting the apartment and getting inside of their vehicle, the victims were approached by an unknown black male who began firing a handgun into the vehicle. Both men were struck by the gunfire. The suspect, only described as a black male, is believed to have fled in a white vehicle.
