Traffic Incident at 7700 Eastex Freeway Service Road October 27, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7700 block of the Eastex Freeway (Highway 59 North) service road about 5:30 a.m. today (October 27). The male victim, possibly in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N. A. Perry and Officer D. Schlicter reported: The victim was traveling southbound on the Eastex Freeway service road in a blue two-door Nissan when he struck the median at the U-turn, crossed the intersection and struck the traffic signal pole. There were no witnesses and no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The investigation is continuing.
