Incident at 6200 Eastex Freeway Service Road October 29, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and the wounding of a man in the 6200 block of the Eastex Freeway (Highway 59 North) service road about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday (October 28). The female victim, 22, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. A male victim was also wounded as a result of the gunfire and was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The victim got into an argument with the suspect then attempted to flee by asking for help from a motorcycle rider When the victim got on the motorcycle, the suspect shot several times in the direction of the motorcycle. The victim was shot multiple times and the motorcycle rider assisting was wounded as well. The suspect is described only as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age.
