Incident at 6417 North Main Street

September 17, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6417 North Main about 9 p. m. on Sunday (September 16).

The victim, Jorge Armando Castellanos, 27, of 74 Lyerly, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Huynh and M. Dillingham reported:

Mr. Castellanos was at the listed location with his friends when he got into an argument with the suspect. After the security guard escorted both men outside, the argument escalated and the suspect pulled out a pistol and shot Castellanos multiple times in the torso.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, 28 to 35 years of age, and a thin mustache. He is believed to be driving a 2000 or 2001 white Toyota 4Runner with the "TOYOTA" emblem on the front windshield.
