September 27, 2007 - Investigators in the Houston Police Juvenile Division Sex Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in the sexual assault of a juvenile at the suspect’s apartment at 8600 Theta on May 18.

The suspect, Gabriel Aguilar (H/m, DOB 3-29-76), is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in the 174th State District Court. He is not in custody.

Family members and Aguilar’s children live in the southeast side of Houston and believe he is still in the area. Aguilar, who has a street name of “Villain,” is a rap music artist. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 165 pounds, and has tattoos on his back and arms. A photo of Aguilar is attached to this news release.

Aguilar is wanted for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl who told her parents he forcefully grabbed her into his apartment where she was then sexually assaulted. The female victim said she saw Aguilar handing out his music compact disc to underage girls in his apartment complex at 8600 Theta and complimenting the girls on how they looked. Two days before the assault, the female said she received a CD from Aguilar and was flattered by comments he made to her.

During the investigation, Aguilar’s neighbors advised investigators that other females might have been lured to Aguilar’s apartment and sexually assaulted by him.

Aguilar has been seen at various nightclubs in southeast Houston, promoting his music and his page on MySpace. He is known to carry a weapon and is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone victimized by or with information on Gabriel Aguilar’s whereabouts is urged to contact the HPD Juvenile Division Sex Crimes Unit at 713-731-5335 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

At 1 p.m. TODAY (Thursday, Sept. 27), an investigator in the Sex Crimes Unit will be available to answer questions in this case on the first floor of the HPD Stringfellow Southeast Police Station at 8300 Mykawa Road.
