Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting at 6500 West Ridge Creek Drive

April 7, 2008 - Houston police homicide investigators have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male in the 6500 block of West Ridge Creek Drive about 10:05 p.m. on April 2.

The suspect, Michael Jackson (b/m, DOB: 5-25-82), of New Orleans, Louisiana, was charged with murder and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail. He is accused in the killing of Fredrick Demon Robertson, 15, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Odom and J. Shirley reported:

Fredrick Robertson was walking west in the 6500 block of West Ridge Creek Drive when three male suspects approached him from behind. One of the suspects produced a handgun and shot Robertson several times.

A follow-up investigation identified Jackson as a suspect. Investigators arrested him the day after the shooting and learned he was wanted on a warrant for a 2005 murder in New Orleans, Louisiana.
