Accidental Shooting at 6200 West Tidwell April 7, 2008 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which an off-duty officer accidentally shot himself at 6200 West Tidwell about 8:15 p.m. on Friday (April 4). The officer, M. Reyes, 23, suffered a gunshot wound to his right hip. He was treated and released from Memorial Hermann Hospital. HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Khan and T. Pool reported: The officer was in a restroom in an apartment when he attempted to unholster his weapon. In so doing, he accidentally discharged the weapon. He was struck one time. |
