Attempted Murder at 6363 West Airport Boulevard

April 8, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6363 West Airport Boulevard about 6 a.m. on Monday (April 7).

The victim, Victor Wyatt-Swope, 22, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D.A. Ferguson and Officers T. Tyler and E.R. Godwin reported:

Mr. Wyatt-Swope went out to the parking lot of the apartment complex to see about a disturbance and was approached by a male suspect. Both men had a disagreement and the suspect shot Wyatt-Swope and fled the scene. After the shooting, the suspect kidnapped a witness and dropped her off a short time later on a nearby street.

The suspect is described only as a black male, six feet tall, and weighs 150 to 160 pounds. He has dark skin, short wavy hair, and two teardrops below his right eye.
