Drowning Incident at 14201 Briar Forest Drive

April 11, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the drowning of a male at 14201 Briar Forest Drive about 2:40 p.m. on Thursday (April 10).

The victim, 17, was transported to a Memorial City Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending further investigation.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Dillingham and E. Lorenzana reported:

The victim, a student at Westside High School, entered the pool at the school’s natatorium and was unable to reach the edge of the pool for safety. At this time, it is unknown if the teen was pushed or voluntarily jumped into the pool.

The investigation is continuing.
