Fatal Double Shooting at 4300 Tampico

April 18, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men in the 4300 block of Tampico about 9 p.m. on Thursday (April 17).

The victims, Marquis Antrell Curvey and Lloyd Charles Baldwin, of Houston suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants E.R. Lorenzana and M. Dillingham reported:

Witnesses stated Baldwin, Curvey and an unknown suspect had completed a drug transaction near the intersection of Tampico and Pointer when the suspect reached down, pulled out a gun and shot both men while in their vehicle. Baldwin and Curvey drove away and struck a tree at 4310 Tampico.

The suspect is described only as a heavy-set black male about 25 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and has a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark colored over-sized pullover shirt, sagging blue denim shorts and possibly wearing a blue fishing hat.
