Fatal Shooting at 8701 Hammerly

December 08, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8701 Hammerly about midnight on Saturday (Dec. 6).

The victim, 22, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Officers R. T. Figueroa and D. K. Gunter reported:

The victim, three other male suspects and one female were inside of an apartment at 8701 Hammerly. One of the male suspects decided to play “Russian Roulette” with a gun in the apartment, put the weapon to his head but the weapon did not fire a live round. The suspect then pointed the gun at the victim’s head and shot him. The three suspects then left the apartment while the female, who was not injured, stayed behind.

The suspects are described only as Hispanic males.
