Child Drowning at 8606 Sunbury February 25, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the drowning of an infant at 8606 Sunbury about 6 p.m. on Sunday (February 24). The child, Damien Alfaro, 18 months, of 938 Zoe, was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he later died. HPD Homicide Sergeant E. Cisneros and Officer J. Robles reported: Family members were having a barbecue at 8606 Sunbury and while the children were playing, they lost sight of Baby Damien. Within minutes, the baby’s father found the child face down in a large hole in the yard that once held a septic tank and had filled with water and mud after a recent rain. |
