Fatal Traffic Accident at 3000 Galveston Road July 11, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3000 Galveston Road about 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday (July 9). The victim, Efrain Candido, was transported to Bayshore Hospital and died from his injuries on Thursday (July 10). HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R.L. Gaines reported: Mr. Candido was the back seat passenger in a black Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Josefina De Melgar. Ms. Melgar reported to police that she was cut off by another vehicle which caused her to swerve off the road and hit a tree. The investigation is continuing. GO/JFC |
