Fatal Shooting at 14320 South Post Oak

July 28, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 14320 South Post Oak about 1:45 a.m. last Saturday (July 26).

The victim, Carlton Earl Bauggue, 55, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. T. Mosqueda and Officer X. E. Avila reported:

Mr. Bauggue, his son and other friends were at a common weekend gathering at a used car dealership. Bauggue and his son were sitting in their car when they were approached by two unknown suspects who demanded their wallets. As Bauggue and his son were being robbed, a fight broke out between one of the witnesses and at that time, one of the suspects shot Bauggue. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, running west on Trafalgar Street. Bauggue’s son was not injured.

The suspects are described only as two black males, 18 to 25 years of age and were seen getting into an unknown make and model vehicle.
