Fatal Stabbing at 202 North 80th

July 28, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 202 N. 80th at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26.

Miguel Angel Garcia, 55, of Houston, suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Palos and Investigator R. Martinez reported:

Houston Police and Fire were dispatched to a stabbing at Henry's Bar, 202 N. 80th. HFD ambulance #23 arrived and transported Mr. Garcia to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died from his stab wounds.

Investigators learned that Mr. Garcia was at Henry's Bar before he went to his vehicle that was parked on the street. A Hispanic male and female attempted to rob Mr. Garcia while he sat in his car. Mr. Garcia was stabbed and cut during the robbery. Witnesses observed what they thought was a fight between the two men inside the vehicle while the female stood outside. Mr. Garcia staggered back to the front entrance of the club and asked for help.

The female suspect, Margaret Suarez (H/f, DOB: 1-18-68), has been arrested in connection with the murder. The identity of the male suspect is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
