The suspect is described only as a black male, 18 to 20 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark colored sweat suit with a matching stripe down the pants’ legs and the jacket sleeves, and a dark colored Houston Astros baseball cap with a blue star on the front. The suspect was seen leaving in a 1996-98 dark four-door Cadillac. Photos of a likeness of the vehicle and the baseball cap are attached to this news release.
The victim, identified as Jorge Hernandez, 31, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Hernandez, a fuel truck driver, was delivering fuel to a Mobil station at 9004 North Freeway when he was approached by a male suspect who tried to rob him. As both men struggled, the suspect shot Hernandez several times. The suspect then fled the scene in a dark Cadillac driven by an unknown second black male suspect.
