Two Found Dead at 4406 Clay Road

June 16, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in an apparent murder-suicide involving two persons found fatally shot at 4406 Clay Road about 10:05 p.m. on Saturday (June 14).

A female, 68, and a male, 77, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both suffered a gunshot wound. Their identities are being withheld pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

HPD Homicide Division Officers K.P. Carr, D.K. Gunter, J.R. Johnston and J.T. Barringer reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call to a home at 4406 Clay and were met by the female victim's son-in-law who said he found her and the male inside the home. He added both had been shot. Paramedics were called and pronounced both persons deceased.

A preliminary on-scene investigation indicates the incident is an apparent murder-suicide in which the male shot the female and then himself.

The investigation is continuing.
