Fatal Stabbing at 4007 Hollister

May 19, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 4007 Hollister about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday (May 17).

The victim suffered a stab sound to the neck and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R.A. Odom and Officer J.L. Coffelt reported:

The victim was involved in an altercation with the suspect on the sidewalk in front of the Restaurante El Ranchito, located on Hollister. The suspect stabbed the victim one time in the throat with an unknown object.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion, 20 to 25 years of age, about 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. He was wearing a black tee shirt, blue shorts and a black ball cap.
