Pedestrian Critically Injured in Traffic Accident at 14000 Main

October 8, 2008 - Houston police are investigating an auto-pedestrian traffic accident in the 14000 block of Main Street about 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 7).

The identity of the female victim is unknown. She was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in very critical condition and placed on life-support.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J.A. Ogden and Officers J. Mushinski and R. Kessler reported:

The victim was crossing Main Street when she was struck by a tan Toyota Corolla traveling west on Main. The driver provided a statement to investigators.

The cause of the accident was a result of the female victim failing to yield the right of way to the vehicle.
