Shooting Investigation at 15272 Chipman

October 23, 2008 - Houston police arrested two suspects following a shooting incident at 15272 Chipman about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 22).

The suspect, Deandre Marqui Gray (b/m, DOB: 10-20-74), faces charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance – hydrocodone. Rafielle Tremayne Andrews (b/m, DOB: 8-22-83), is charged with assault against a family member in Harris County Criminal Court #11.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. D. Chandler and Senior Police Officer L. K. Lovelace reported:

While attempting to serve an assault warrant on suspect Andrews at 15272 Chipman, officers from the HPD Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Detail, Narcotics and Robbery Divisions heard two gunshots from inside a townhouse. Officers then instructed all residents of the townhouse to come out then checked the residence for possible injured victims. No one was found injured during the incident and the four males from the townhouse were detained without further incident. At this time, it has not been determined if the shots fired were directed towards the officers.

Officers later recovered a large amount of narcotics, an assault rifle and ammunition inside the residence. Two of the males were released after questioning while Andrews and Gray were transported to the Harris County Jail.
