Man Found Dead at 924 ½ Pecore

September 02, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 924 ½ Pecore about 3:55 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 30).

The victim, Joshua Metheny, 33, was found hanging in a residence. The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine his cause of death.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer T.W. Miller and Officer M.J. Miller reported:

Mr. Metheny was homeless and had recently moved into the apartment on Pecore with a female friend. The two were in a romantic relationship.

Metheny was found hanging in the bedroom of the couple's apartment in somewhat suspicious circumstances. The investigation into whether this incident could involve foul play is continuing as investigators await autopsy results.
