Man Found Dead Following Fire at 8630 Braewick

September 02, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on a man found dead following a fire at 8630 Braewick about 12:55 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 31).

The victim's identity is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. He had an apparent laceration on one of his arms, but no other visible injuries.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Countryman and Officer J.T. Barringer reported:

Officers were called to assist HFD firefighters who responded to a fire at a home at 8630 Braewick. After putting the fire out, HFD personnel found a deceased man inside the home.

Arson officials said there were no initial signs of foul play in how the fire started. The investigation is ongoing.
