Fatal Shooting at 7001 Hillcroft

September 29, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7001 Hillcroft about 5:05 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 28).

The identity of the victim, 34, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant P.V. Munoz and Officer L.R. Leon reported:

The victim was employed by a towing company and was in the process of towing a vehicle for being parked illegally. As the victim was walking back to his tow truck, the unknown suspect walked up behind him and shot him several times. The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male, then fled in a gray, 2002-2005 Ford Mustang.
