Identity Learned of Man Found Beaten at 5909 Ranchester

April 2, 2009 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man critically beaten and injured at 5909 Ranchester about 5:45 a.m. on Monday (Mar. 30).

The victim is identified as Jesus Alfaro Vasquez, 32, of Houston.  He suffered serious trauma to his body and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Officer T. Andrade reported:

Officers and HFD paramedics responded to an apartment complex at 5909 Ranchester and found Mr. Vasquez unconscious in the common area of the complex.  He had suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.  Witnesses said several black and Hispanic males were seen fleeing the area at the time of the beating and attack on Vasquez.
