Surveillance Photos And Video Released in Convenience Store Robbery

April 8, 2009 - Houston police robbery division investigators have released surveillance photos and video of a male suspect wanted for robbing a convenience store at gunpoint.  

Armed with semi-automatic handgun, the suspect entered the Snappy Food Mart at 11203 Beechnut about 10:45 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009 and immediately fired a shot at the area behind the counter.  He then pointed the pistol at the clerk and demanded money.  Fearing for his life, the clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.  The suspect then fled the store on foot, running south on Boone Road.

The robbery was captured on surveillance video.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 27 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds.
