Fatal Traffic Accident at 3200 South Loop West

April 23, 2009 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3200 South Loop West (Interstate Highway 610) about 2:15 a.m. today.

The male victim, 33, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identification is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Runyan and Officer M. Reyes reported:

The driver of a black Toyota 4Runner was westbound on the South Loop, passing over South Main, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed.  Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the one vehicle accident.   

The investigation is continuing.
