Fatal Shooting at 7600 Beechnut

August 3, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7600 Beechnut about 2 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 1). 

The victim, Edward Raymond Williams, 18, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers T. W. Miller and M. J. Miller reported: 

Officers responded to 7600 Beechnut (Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital) where Williams was taken by a private vehicle.  According to witnesses who were with Williams at the time of the shooting, he was shot at an unknown apartment complex in southwest Houston for an unknown reason.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
