Suspect Arrested, Charged With Aggravated Assault at 1600 North Main

August 28, 2009 - A suspect has been arrested and charged in the aggravated assault of a female at 1600 North Main about 2:05 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 27).

The suspect, Jena Patterson Larue (b/f, DOB: 3-25-69), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 209th State District Court.

The female victim, 37, of Houston, was stabbed multiple times and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rubio reported:

The victim was sitting on a bench at a bus stop at the above address when Larue approached her and began assaulting her for no apparent reason. The victim fought back, but Larue reached into her purse and pulled a knife and stabbed the victim twice in the torso and once in the hand. While witnesses went to aid the victim, Larue remained at the location until police arrived and was then arrested.
