Charges Filed in Fatal Shooting at 7800 Long Point

July 13, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3402 Blalock about 2:35 a.m. on Saturday (July 11). 

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.    

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers M. J. Miller and T. W. Miller reported: 

The victim was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 3204 Blalock when an unknown suspect approached him with a gun.  The victim and the suspect then got into an argument and struggled over the gun.  At some point, the gun discharged, the victim was struck and fell to the ground.  The suspect and an accomplice then fled from the shooting scene in a four-door black or navy Chrysler 300 down Blalock.  The shooter and his accomplice returned to the parking lot where the victim remained, shot him once more and then fled the scene.
