The 16-year-old male was asleep inside his residence when the suspect forced his way inside through a back door.  The 16-year-old woke up and fled into a back room where a rifle was stored.  The suspect entered the room with what appeared to be a pistol in his hand and the 16-year-old, fearing for his safety, fired once and struck the suspect.  The suspect then fled back through the house and collapsed in the kitchen.  Further investigation determined the suspect’s weapon was a B.
