Survellance Video, Photos Released in Robbery Case

June 5, 2009 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in a robbery of a gas station in northwest Houston.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 22 to 25 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs 130 to 140 pounds.  He was wearing a knit cap on his head, pulled down to the tops of his eyes.  A photo of the unidentified suspect is attached to this news release.

Suspect

On May 7, 2009, the suspect, armed with a revolver, entered the Valero gas station at 9366 Long Point Drive and fired once as he entered the front door.  The suspect then went to the cash register where the clerk was working, pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded she take the money from the register and put it into a bag.  The clerk was not moving fast enough, so the suspect fired another round towards the floor behind the register.  The suspect then took the plastic bag with the money in it and fled the scene on foot an unknown direction.

Anyone with information on this case or on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Westside Robbery Division at 281-584-4750.
