Investigation into Male's Death at 5562 Gasmer

September 15, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 5562 Gasmer about 7:25 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 14).

The victim, in his 40s, suffered multiple deep lacerations to his face and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers A. Brown and C. Abbondandolo reported:

Officers responded to a small business park in the 5500 block of Gasmer after workers found the victim in the cab of a dump truck. The victim, who is believed to be an employee of a nearby business, appeared to have been in the cab of the truck for several days. A hatchet was recovered at the scene.

There is no known motive or suspect(s) at this time.
