Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7900 Morley

April 22, 2010 - Charges are pending against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at 7900 Morley about 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday (April 21).

The suspect, Kendrick Romaine Hicks (b/m, DOB: 5-3-88), is facing a charge of murder. He is accused in the killing of Corey Bean, 27, of Houston.

Mr. Bean suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer R. Chappell and Police Officer C. Sturdivant reported:

Bean and Hicks were arguing over money when Hicks pulled out a gun and shot Bean multiple times. Hicks later surrendered to police and admitted to his involvement in the shooting.
