Male Found Shot at 8500 Garland Drive
August 2, 2010 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the apparent suicide of a man at 8500 Garland Drive about 1:10 p.m. on Sunday (August 1).
The victim, Armando Chavez, 29, of Houston, suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. M. Cegielski and Senior Police Officer A. J. Palos reported:
Mr. Chavez was found in his parked vehicle with a gunshot wound to head. The investigation is pending the cause of death to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
